15.6″ business laptop with Core i7

The Dell Latitude E5520 is a 15.6-inch LED-backlit notebook built for office work and mobile professionals. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on a dual-core Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 2.20 GHz with 6 MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics drive the HD+ display, while 8 GB of DDR3 memory handles everyday multitasking.

1 TB hard drive and optical drive included

A 2.5-inch 1 TB SATA hard drive supplies the primary storage for applications and files. The internal DVD-RW drive reads and writes CDs and DVDs for legacy media or software installation. VGA and HDMI outputs let you connect external monitors or projectors, and a built-in webcam supports video calls.

Check memory ceiling and wireless needs

The system uses DDR3 memory and the supplier notes a 16 GB maximum capacity, so plan upgrades accordingly. Wireless connectivity relies on the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 adapter, while wired networks use Gigabit Ethernet. Buyers needing solid-state speed or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Yes, the 2.5-inch SATA bay accepts standard SATA SSDs for a straightforward upgrade.

What limits performance first when the Intel Core i7 2.20 GHz dual-core runs sustained loads?

The 6 MB L3 cache and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics become the bottleneck before the 8 GB DDR3 memory fills.
