15.6" HD business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5570 is a 15.6-inch HD laptop built for office work and study. It runs on an Intel Core i5-6300U dual-core processor at 2.40 GHz with a turbo frequency of 3.00 GHz. The 1366 x 768 non-touch display and Intel HD Graphics 520 handle everyday productivity tasks. It ships with no operating system installed.

New 240GB SATA SSD and DDR3 memory

A new 240GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD provides the primary storage, replacing any original mechanical drive for faster boot and application loading. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 RAM across two memory slots. The memory can be expanded up to 16 GB total if additional capacity is needed later.

Dual-core performance with 16 GB memory ceiling

The dual-core i5-6300U and 8GB of RAM comfortably run web browsing, document editing and video conferencing. The 240GB SSD holds the operating system and a moderate set of applications. Heavy multitasking or large media libraries will hit the 16 GB memory limit and the modest storage capacity.

Questions about this item

Can the 240 GB SATA SSD be replaced with a larger drive later?

The laptop uses a standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD, so a higher-capacity SATA drive can be installed when more storage is needed.

What stops the Intel Core i5-6300U from running at its 3.00 GHz turbo speed during long workloads?

Sustained turbo clocks are limited by the cooling solution and the 15 watt thermal design power of the dual-core processor.

How loud does the fan get when the system runs all day?

The fan spins up under load to keep the CPU and Intel HD Graphics 520 within safe temperatures; noise level varies with workload.
