Dell Latitude E6520 15.6" laptop

The Dell Latitude E6520 is a 15.6 inch laptop with an Intel Core i7 dual-core processor running at 2.20GHz. It comes with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 1TB SATA hard drive. Windows 10 Professional 64-bit is pre-installed for immediate use. This configuration suits office work and general productivity tasks.

Sustained performance with integrated graphics

The system relies on Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics driven by the mobile QM67 Express chipset. Under continuous load the dual-core CPU and shared memory architecture will throttle clock speeds to manage heat. The 1TB hard drive provides capacity but limits random access speed compared to solid-state storage. Heavy multitasking or modern media editing will exceed the available 8GB RAM ceiling.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your peripherals connect via VGA, HDMI or the available USB ports as no other video outputs are present. The DVD-RW drive reads and writes optical media but cannot handle Blu-ray discs. Wireless connectivity uses the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 adapter alongside gigabit Ethernet. Maximum memory support is 16GB DDR3 if future expansion is required.

Questions about this item

How much heat and fan noise does the Intel Core i7 2.20GHz produce during all-day use?

The dual-core processor has a 6 MB L3 cache and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, so heat output stays moderate for typical office workloads.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the VGA and HDMI outputs?

You need a standard VGA cable for older monitors or an HDMI cable for modern displays; both ports are built into the chassis.

Will the 1TB SATA hard drive work reliably alongside older SATA devices I keep?

Yes, the 2.5-inch 1000 GB SATA drive uses the same interface as earlier SATA storage, so it integrates without compatibility issues.
