Dell Latitude E7450 business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by a 2.90 GHz Intel Core i5 5th Gen dual-core processor. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 128GB SSD running Windows 10 Home 64 Bit. The non-touch display and compact chassis suit mobile professionals who need a reliable daily driver.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under continuous load the dual-core CPU maintains its 2.90 GHz frequency while the integrated graphics share system memory. The single SSD provides consistent read speeds without thermal throttling seen in smaller form factors. Memory can be expanded to 16GB across two slots for heavier multitasking scenarios.

Setup checks before ordering

Verify that your workflow does not require a touchscreen or an optical drive, as neither is fitted. The laptop offers one USB port and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN, so confirm peripheral and network compatibility. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed with a digital licence for immediate activation.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Dell Latitude E7450 get when running all day with the Intel i5 2.90 GHz processor?

The Intel i5 2.90 GHz dual-core processor is a 5th-generation mobile chip with a low thermal design, so under typical office workloads the fan stays quiet and surface temperatures remain comfortable for lap use.

What must I already own to start using the 14-inch non-touch display and Windows 10 Home 64-bit installation?

Only the included AC adapter is required; the 14.0-inch non-touch screen and Windows 10 Home 64-bit are ready to work once you connect power and press the power button.

Will my older 802.11a/b/g wireless router and USB 2.0 peripherals work with this laptop's single USB port and WLAN?

Yes, the 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN connects to legacy routers, and the single USB port supports USB 2.0 devices for backwards compatibility with older keyboards, mice and drives.
