Latitude E7450 business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0 inch Windows 10 Pro laptop built for business users who need a ready-to-run machine with 16GB DDR3 memory and a 500GB SATA hard drive. It ships with a digital product key that activates automatically on first boot. The Intel Core i5 5th Gen processor runs at 2.90 GHz for everyday office workloads.

Connectivity and chassis

The black chassis provides one USB port and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN with Bluetooth for peripheral and network connections. A non-touch 14 inch screen keeps the form factor compact for desk or mobile use. Memory slots total two, though the 16GB installed already reaches the maximum supported capacity. No optical drive is fitted, reducing weight and potential failure points.

Thermals and power in use

The dual-core processor and spinning hard drive produce modest heat during typical document and web tasks, so fan noise remains low in a quiet office. Power draw stays consistent with mainstream business ultraportables, allowing the existing adapter to handle normal loads without strain. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers early hardware issues.

Questions about this item

What SATA revision does the 500 GB drive use, and what practical throughput does that cap?

The 500 GB drive connects over SATA, limiting sequential transfers to the SATA interface maximum.

What chassis clearances and screw pattern does the 14" Latitude E7450 require for a drive swap?

The 14.0" chassis uses a standard 2.5" 7 mm bay with the Dell Latitude screw pattern.

How is the Windows 10 Pro 64-bit licence activated after a clean install, and where do people trip up?

The digital product key activates automatically once the licence agreement is accepted; no 25-character entry is needed.
