Ready-to-use business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7450 arrives with Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit already activated by a digital product key. An Intel Core i5 5th Gen processor running at 2.90 GHz and 8 GB of DDR3 memory handle everyday office workloads. A 14.0 inch non-touch screen and 500 GB SATA hard drive complete the mainstream configuration.

Memory upgrade access

Two memory slots are fitted and 8 GB is installed, leaving room to reach the 16 GB maximum without removing the original modules. The hard drive and memory are user-replaceable, though opening the chassis requires removing several screws and disconnecting the battery. No optical drive is present, so recovery media must be USB-based.

500 GB SATA storage limit

The single 2.5 inch bay holds a 500 GB mechanical drive; there is no M.2 slot for solid-state storage. Buyers who want faster boot times or more capacity must replace the drive themselves. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth, and a single USB port is available for peripherals.

Questions about this item

Open Task Manager and check the Performance tab — it should show the i5 dual-core processor at 2.90 GHz and 8 GB DDR3 memory installed.

What comes in the box and what must I source separately?

The laptop, a power adapter and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed are included; no optical drive is fitted and any external peripherals are sold separately.
