Purpose-built ultraportable

The Dell Latitude E7450 is a 14.0-inch business laptop with a 1366 x 768 HD display, an Intel Core i5-5300U dual-core processor running at 2.30 GHz with a 2.90 GHz turbo, 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and includes a webcam plus Bluetooth.

Who should consider it

This suits office workers, students and mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows 10 machine for document editing, web browsing, email and video calls. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a higher-resolution panel or a discrete graphics processor should look at something else.

Capacity and headroom

The 1TB SSD provides ample space for the operating system, applications and a large local file library without relying on external drives. Memory is fixed at 16GB DDR3 across two slots, so the system handles typical multitasking comfortably but cannot be expanded beyond that limit.
