Latitude E7470 14" HD+ business laptop

The Dell Latitude E7470 is a 14-inch business laptop with an HD+ display and Intel Core i7-6600U processor. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a new 500GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. The dual-core CPU reaches 3.40 GHz turbo frequency for office workloads. This configuration suits professionals needing a portable Windows machine with solid-state storage.

HD+ 1600 x 900 panel and integrated graphics limits

The 14.0-inch non-touch screen delivers 1600 x 900 resolution driven by Intel HD Graphics 520. This integrated GPU handles desktop productivity and video playback but lacks discrete graphics power for 3D rendering or modern gaming. The HD+ panel provides adequate clarity for documents and web browsing. External display support depends on available ports not detailed in the specifications.

SATA SSD installation and memory ceiling

The 500GB SSD uses a 2.5-inch SATA interface for straightforward drive replacement or upgrades. Memory slots total two but maximum supported capacity is 16GB, so the current 16GB DDR4 configuration already reaches the limit. No additional RAM can be added beyond this point. Buyers who want more storage must replace the existing drive rather than add a second one.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 500 GB SSD or a larger drive?

The unit ships with a 500 GB 2.5" SATA SSD; the bay accepts standard 2.5" SATA drives so you can swap in a higher-capacity model later.

What does the 2.60 GHz base and 3.40 GHz turbo mean for everyday work?

The dual-core i7-6600U runs at 2.60 GHz and can boost to 3.40 GHz, giving snappy response for office apps, web browsing and light multitasking.

Is the SATA interface fast enough for the 500 GB SSD?

Yes — the 2.5" SATA link handles the 500 GB SSD at full SATA III speed, so boot and load times stay quick.
