Rugged laptop for field work

The Dell Latitude Rugged 5420 is a new 14.0 inch business laptop built to survive harsh environments. It runs an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and a 4.20 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals.

This unit suits first responders and field technicians who need a durable, non-touch FHD display and integrated webcam. Buyers who want more internal storage capacity or a touchscreen should look at something else. The rugged chassis adds weight compared to standard ultraportables.

256GB SSD is the limiting factor

The single 256GB solid-state drive determines how much data you can keep on board. A removable PCIe storage bay is present for expansion. No traditional hard drive is fitted. The SSD capacity is the specification that decides whether this is the right part.
