Refurbished Dell Latitude 5420 for everyday work

This refurbished 14-inch laptop runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-1145G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory. It is suited to office tasks, web browsing and video calls for professionals and students who need a reliable, portable device without buying new.

512GB SSD and 16GB RAM capacity and headroom

The 512GB M.2 2230 PCIe drive holds the operating system, applications and a solid working library of documents and media. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory keeps multiple browser tabs, Office apps and background services running smoothly; heavy video editing or large data sets will exceed the available headroom.

Upgrading from older ultrabooks

Replacing a machine with 8GB RAM, a slower SSD or a pre-11th-generation processor yields noticeable responsiveness in multitasking and boot times. The jump is worth it when your current device struggles with concurrent workloads or lacks Thunderbolt 4 connectivity for modern docks and displays. Buyers who need dedicated graphics, a touchscreen, a backlit keyboard or more than 512GB of internal storage should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will my existing USB-A peripherals work with the 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports on this Latitude 5420?

Yes, the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports accept standard USB-A plugs so current mice, keyboards and drives connect without adapters.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i5-1145G7 and 16 GB DDR4 are recognised after first boot?

Open Windows Settings > System > About; the processor will show as i5-1145G7 and installed RAM as 16 GB.

The box lists a refurbished laptop and a power adapter; is a Thunderbolt 4 cable included for the two USB-C ports?

No, only the laptop and its power adapter are supplied; any Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C cable must be purchased separately.
