Refurbished Precision 5520 workstation

This Dell Precision 5520 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation powered by an Intel Core i7-6820HQ quad-core processor. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and arrives in Grade A cosmetic condition with the AC adapter included. The thin-and-light chassis suits professionals who need workstation-class performance in a portable form factor.

32 GB memory and 512 GB SSD capacity

The system provides 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB solid-state drive, offering generous headroom for multitasking, large datasets and local project files. Memory-intensive workflows such as virtualisation, CAD assemblies or video timelines run comfortably within this allocation. Very large media libraries or extensive VM clusters will eventually exceed the storage ceiling and require external expansion.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI connectivity

A single Thunderbolt 3 port enables high-speed peripherals, external GPUs or dual 4K displays through one compact connector, while the HDMI output adds a straightforward second-screen option. Two USB 3.0 ports with PowerShare keep phones or accessories charged even when the laptop sleeps. The non-touch FHD panel keeps glare low and battery drain modest for long desk sessions. Buyers who want a touchscreen, a dedicated numeric keypad or more than one Thunderbolt lane should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will my Thunderbolt 3 dock and USB 3.0 PowerShare peripherals work with the Precision 5520?

Yes — the laptop has one Thunderbolt 3 port and two USB 3.0 ports with PowerShare, so existing docks and charging devices connect directly.

How can I confirm the i7-6820HQ and 32 GB are running correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager → Performance and verify four cores, 8 MB L3 cache and 32 GB memory are detected at expected speeds.

Does the box include anything besides the laptop and AC adapter?

The package content lists only the laptop and AC adapter; cables, docks or external drives must be purchased separately.
