700 W Redundant Supply for PowerEdge 2850

This Dell NPS-700AB module delivers 700 watts of redundant power for the PowerEdge 2850 server. It is a hot-pluggable switch module designed to maintain uptime if one unit fails. The unit weighs 5.1 and fits the server's dedicated power bay. Buyers needing a different wattage or form factor cannot use this module.

Hot-plug redundancy for supported Dell servers

The supply slides into the PowerEdge 2850 chassis without tools and shares load with a second unit for failover. It requires the server's native backplane and management firmware to operate correctly. The module frees the administrator from scheduling downtime to replace a faulty supply. Builders using any other chassis or vendor platform cannot install it.
