Business desktop with dual storage

The Dell OptiPlex 9010 Mini Tower pairs a 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 processor at 3.40 GHz with 8 GB of DDR3 memory. A 128 GB solid-state drive handles the operating system and applications while a 2 TB hard drive stores larger files. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 drives standard office displays and the system ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed.

Replaces older towers lacking SSD speed

Moving from a mechanical-drive-only system to this hybrid layout cuts boot and application launch times noticeably. The quad-core 64-bit processor handles multitasking across browser tabs, office suites and line-of-business apps more smoothly than dual-core predecessors. The jump is worth it when daily workflows feel sluggish on spinning disks but a full workstation refresh is not budgeted.

Suits offices needing reliable Windows 10 machines

This configuration fits general administration, education labs and call-centre roles where integrated graphics and gigabit Ethernet are sufficient. Buyers who want more storage capacity or discrete graphics for design work should look elsewhere. The four DIMM slots are fully populated so memory expansion requires module replacement.

Questions about this item

Will the 2.5-inch 128 GB SSD and 2 TB hard drive fit in the OptiPlex 9010 Mini Tower?

The system includes both drives pre-installed; the 2.5-inch SSD and 2 TB hard drive are already mounted inside the Mini Tower chassis.

How do I add more DDR3 memory when all four DIMM slots are already populated?

The four 240-pin slots hold 2 GB modules each for the installed 8 GB; to increase capacity you must remove existing modules and replace them with higher-capacity DDR3 DIMMs.

When will the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver need updating after the Windows 10 Pro installation?

Windows 10 Pro installs a compatible driver automatically; check Windows Update periodically for newer Intel graphics driver releases.
