Questions about this item

Do I need a MacBook with a Magnetic 3 port for this charger to work?

Yes, the charger uses a Type C to Magnetic 3 cable and is only compatible with 2021 to 2026 MacBook Pro 14 inch, 16 inch and MacBook Air 13 inch, 15 inch models.

Will the 85 W output from the adapter still charge a 140 W-rated MacBook Pro 16 inch?

The adapter delivers 20 V at 11.8 A for 85 W, while the cable supports up to 140 W; the MacBook will draw the power it negotiates, so charging will occur but may be slower than with a 140 W source.

How can I confirm the charger is operating correctly after I plug it in?

The cable includes an LED indicator that lights when the Magnetic 3 connector is attached and power is flowing, showing the connection is active.
