Mobile workstation for creators

The Dell Precision 5530 pairs an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor with 16 GB DDR4 memory and NVIDIA Quadro P1000 4 GB GDDR5 graphics. A 15.6-inch UHD 3840 x 2160 IPS touchscreen covers 72% color gamut. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed. It targets engineers and designers who need certified drivers in a thin silver chassis.

Dual fast storage and modern ports

Two internal drives — 512 GB M.2 plus 2 TB SSD — give ample room for large project files without external enclosures. Connectivity includes two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 with x4 PCIe lanes and HDMI 2.0 for external displays. A headphone/microphone combo jack and a Dell AC adapter complete the kit. Builders needing a second GPU or more than 16 GB RAM should look elsewhere.

Sustained load with dual-fan cooling

The cooling system uses dual fans to maintain airflow during long render or simulation sessions. Quadro P1000 4 GB GDDR5 memory handles professional 3D workloads without throttling seen in brief bursts. Turbo Boost reaches 4.30 GHz when thermal headroom allows. The 9 MB cache helps keep compute pipelines fed during extended multitasking.
