Precision 5530 UHD touch workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation with a 3840 x 2160 IPS touchscreen. It runs on a 6-core Intel Core i7-8850H processor with 32 GB DDR4 memory. The system includes a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P1000 with 4 GB GDDR5 video memory. Windows 11 Pro is installed and a Dell AC adapter is included.

Dual 128 GB M.2 plus 4 TB SSD storage

This configuration provides 128 GB M.2 solid-state storage alongside a 4 TB SSD. The combined capacity supports large project files, local datasets and multiple virtual machines. Buyers who need a single larger boot drive or a different M.2 capacity should verify the exact partition layout before ordering.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 connectivity

Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 3 port and one HDMI 2.0 output handle docks and external displays. The slim chassis uses dual fans for thermal management. Buyers who require legacy USB-A charging or additional video outputs beyond HDMI 2.0 will need adapters or a dock.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.60 GHz base clock with 4.30 GHz boost affect real-world workloads on the i7-8850H?

The six-core i7-8850H runs at 2.60 GHz and can reach 4.30 GHz with Turbo Boost, giving strong single-thread speed for CAD and snappy multitasking across 12 threads.

What does the Thunderbolt 3 port actually deliver for external displays and storage?

Thunderbolt 3 provides x4 PCIe bandwidth, so you can drive a 4K monitor at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0 and attach fast NVME storage without a bottleneck.

Will the 15.6 inch UHD touch panel fit a standard laptop sleeve or dock?

The 15.6 inch InfinityEdge chassis is thinner than older Precision models, so most 15 inch sleeves and Thunderbolt docks clear the HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports.
