Precision 5530 mobile workstation

The Dell Precision 5530 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified graphics and a colour-accurate touch display in a thin chassis. It ships new with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel Core i7-8850H six-core processor. The 3840 x 2160 UHD IPS panel covers 72% colour gamut and supports multi-touch input. This configuration targets engineers, designers and analysts who work on-site or at a desk.

32 GB DDR4 and dual-storage headroom

Memory is fixed at 32 GB DDR4, giving comfortable headroom for large assemblies, multi-layer timelines and virtual machines. Storage combines a 256 GB M.2 drive with a 2 TB SSD, so the operating system and active projects stay on fast flash while archives remain local. The NVIDIA Quadro P1000 with 4 GB GDDR5 handles certified CAD and 3D workloads; heavier GPU compute or multi-GPU rendering will exceed this card. The six-core CPU reaches 4.30 GHz turbo for burst tasks.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI 2.0 expand connectivity

A single Thunderbolt 3 port adds x4 PCIe bandwidth for external GPUs, high-speed storage or dual 4K displays. HDMI 2.0 drives an external monitor at 3840 x 2160 without adapters. Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports handle peripherals and a Dell AC adapter is included. The bundled software is limited to the Windows 10 Pro operating system; no ISV utilities or management suites are mentioned. Buyers who need more than one Thunderbolt port or dedicated Ethernet must add a dock.

Does the box contain the 256 GB M.2 and 2 TB SSDs pre-installed, or must I add them myself?

Both the 256 GB M.2 drive and the 2 TB SSD ship already installed, along with 32 GB DDR4 RAM, the Dell AC adapter and Windows 10 Pro; no storage or memory upgrades are required.
