What this cable connects

The DUOYHIEL DL16 is a 1.5m USB male to 3 RCA male composite adapter cable. It links USB-enabled televisions, PCs, smartphones and similar devices to DVD players, HDTV receivers, projectors or AV receivers. The cable carries both audio and video signals through its colour-coded RCA plugs. No driver installation is required for basic operation.

When a converter is needed instead

This cable only passes through signals that the source and display can already encode and decode. It cannot convert HDMI or other digital outputs from PCs, laptops, DVD players, PS4, PS3, Xbox or similar devices to composite video. If either endpoint lacks native composite coding or decoding, a separate active converter must be used instead of this passive cable.

Behaviour during extended playback

The passive construction means signal quality depends entirely on the source device output and the display input circuitry. Over the full 1.5m length the cable adds no active processing, so sustained playback of pictures or video from a camcorder to a USB-equipped TV remains stable as long as both ends maintain their own signal integrity. No external power is drawn.
