OLLGEN 10742 RCA Cable 5m 16ft

The OLLGEN 10742 is a coaxial RCA cable with male-to-male connectors plated in 24K gold. It carries composite video or digital audio signals over a 5 metre (16 foot) run. The yellow colour coding identifies the video channel for quick installation. It suits CCTV cameras, rear-view cameras, DVD players, TV boxes and subwoofers.

Sustained signal integrity

The cable uses a 2.5C-2V coaxial construction with shielding to reject noise and distortion during continuous use. Gold-plated contacts maintain low contact resistance over long periods. The moulded strain-relief boots protect the terminations from repeated handling. Weatherproof materials allow permanent outdoor routing for surveillance or backup cameras.

Low-loss passive link

As a passive interconnect it draws no power and adds no active noise. The shielded coaxial geometry keeps attenuation low across the full length. Gold plating prevents oxidation that could increase resistance over time. The assembly operates silently and requires no external power supply or cooling.

Questions about this item

Does the 24K gold-plated plug on this 5m cable stay cool and quiet during continuous use?

The cable is passive with no active components, so it produces no heat and no audible noise regardless of how long it runs.

What devices must already have female RCA ports for this male-to-male cable to connect?

You need two devices each equipped with a female RCA jack — for example a subwoofer and an AV receiver, or a rear-view camera and a monitor.

Will this 2.5C-2V coaxial cable work with an older DVD player that only has composite video outputs?

Yes, the yellow RCA plug carries composite video and fits the standard composite output found on legacy DVD players.
