Solar Battery Sustains Continuous Operation

Built-in rechargeable batteries keep every camera running without mains power, while the upgraded antenna maintains a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi link during extended recording sessions. Motion-triggered spotlights and colour night vision to 33 ft activate only when needed, preserving charge over long periods.

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Only — No 5 GHz Support

The system connects exclusively to a 2.4 GHz network, so buyers with 5 GHz-only routers cannot use it without a compatible access point. AI human, pet and vehicle detection requires an optional subscription, and local SD card recording supports cards up to 256 GB sold separately.

Questions about this item

How long does the built-in rechargeable battery last when the camera records continuously day and night?

Battery life depends on motion events, Wi-Fi signal strength, alert settings, weather conditions, and temperature. The solar panel helps maintain charge during daylight hours for extended operation.

What network equipment must I already have for the camera to connect and stream video?

You need a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router or access point. The camera does not support 5GHz networks, so ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4GHz SSID for the initial setup and ongoing connectivity.

Can I add this camera to an existing DVR that uses BNC cables for analog cameras?

This camera operates wirelessly over Wi-Fi and does not connect via BNC cables. It is managed through the Dzees Home App and cannot be integrated directly with a traditional BNC-based DVR system.
