2 ft 16 AWG Power Extension Cord

This 2 ft power extension cord from ecjtu provides a short reach for appliances that cannot quite meet a wall socket. It uses a standard three-prong Type B male-to-female connector rated for 13 A at 125 V AC. The cord is UL Listed and ETL Listed, built with 100% oxygen-free copper and thickened PVC for heavy-duty indoor or outdoor use.

13 A 125 V Rating Defines Load Limit

The 16 AWG SJTW construction supports a maximum of 13 amps at 125 volts, with a cable insulation rating up to 300 V. This capacity suits typical household electronics, lighting timers, and small UPS units, but it cannot power high-draw appliances such as space heaters or large power tools that exceed the rated amperage.

Replaces Improvised Long Cords and Damaged Leads

Use this short extender to replace tangled excess cable runs or a worn appliance cord where only a brief reach is needed. The waterproof, temperature-resistant jacket makes it reliable for seasonal outdoor lighting or permanent server-room connections. It is not a substitute for a longer extension when the outlet is more than two feet away.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2 ft or 24 inch version of this cord?

They are the same length — 2 ft equals 24 inches — so choose the one labelled 2 ft.

What does the 13 A rating mean when I plug this into a wall outlet?

The cord can safely carry up to 13 amps at 125 V AC, matching a typical North American household circuit.

What does the SJTW jacket rating limit in real use?

SJTW means the cord is rated for hard service, thermoplastic insulation, and outdoor wet locations, so it handles moisture and temperature extremes.
