Smart Thermostat Premium with SmartSensor

The ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium is a programmable Wi-Fi thermostat designed for homeowners who want voice control and air-quality insight in one device. It includes a SmartSensor that detects occupancy in the room where it is placed. The unit works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit for voice commands and automation.

24VAC HVAC compatibility and C-wire alternative

This thermostat works with most 24VAC heating and cooling systems, including conventional, heat-pump and dual-fuel setups. A Power Extender Kit is included so the device can be installed in homes that lack a dedicated C wire. The 4-inch full-colour LCD touchscreen has a 540 x 540 pixel resolution for clear status readouts.

Upgrade from basic programmable thermostats

The Premium model replaces older units that lack built-in air-quality monitoring, radar-based occupancy sensing and integrated smart-speaker functionality. The jump is worth it when you want smoke-alarm alerts, break-in notifications and automatic filter-change reminders without adding separate sensors. A Smart Security plan is required for the security and temperature-drop alerts.
