Edifier R1280T 2.0 White Bookshelf Speakers

The Edifier R1280T is a pair of powered bookshelf speakers finished in white. Each cabinet houses a 4 inch full range driver and a 13 mm silk dome tweeter for balanced stereo playback. A built in amplifier delivers 42 W RMS so no separate receiver is required. Dual RCA inputs let two sources stay connected at once.

Home listeners who want simple stereo sound

These speakers suit anyone who wants plug and play audio for a desk, shelf or small room without a separate amplifier. The side mounted bass and treble knobs plus the included remote give quick tone control. Buyers who need wireless streaming, a subwoofer output or digital inputs such as optical or USB should look at other models.

42 W RMS built in amplification

The integrated amplifier provides 42 W RMS total power, removing the need for an external amp and defining the maximum clean output level. This single figure determines whether the system can fill your intended listening space at the volume you require.

Questions about this item

Will the R1280T's dual RCA inputs let me keep my turntable and CD player connected at the same time?

Yes, the active speaker provides two sets of RCA inputs so both sources stay plugged in and you select between them with the remote or side knob.

How can I verify the 13 mm silk dome tweeter and 4 inch driver are performing correctly after setup?

Play a familiar track and listen for clear highs from the tweeter and balanced mid-bass from the driver; the side-panel bass and treble knobs should shift tone smoothly without distortion.

Does the box include the speaker-to-speaker cable and remote, or must I buy them separately?

The package supplies the passive speaker cable, a 3.5 mm to RCA cable, an RCA to RCA cable and the wireless remote; no extra cables are required for basic use.
