Edifier R1700BT Bluetooth bookshelf speakers

The Edifier R1700BT is a pair of active bookshelf speakers delivering 66 watts RMS total output. Each cabinet houses a 4-inch bass driver and a 19mm dome tweeter angled at 10 degrees for directed near-field listening. A front-facing bass reflex port extends low-frequency response down to 27 Hz. Built-in DSP and Dynamic Range Control limit distortion at higher volumes. The walnut vinyl-wrapped MDF enclosures suit desktop or shelf placement.

Ideal for desktop audio and wireless streaming

These speakers suit users who want a compact powered stereo system with Bluetooth pairing for phones, tablets or computers. Two 3.5 mm auxiliary inputs allow simultaneous wired connections without cable swapping. A supplied wireless remote controls volume, mute and input selection from the listening position. Buyers needing a separate subwoofer output, multi-room streaming protocols or professional balanced inputs should consider other models.

66 W RMS total power with 4-inch drivers

The system provides 15 W per channel to the mid-bass units plus 18 W for the tweeter section, summing to 66 W RMS. This power rating determines the maximum clean output level for near-field use in small to medium rooms. Verify that this output matches your listening distance and volume requirements before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Which version should I choose — the single 66 W bookshelf pair or a system with a separate subwoofer?

This listing is for a 2.0 bookshelf pair rated at 66 W total; there is no separate subwoofer version in this model.

What does the 66 W rating mean for everyday listening volume?

The 66 W RMS total drives a 4‑inch bass driver and 19 mm dome tweeter in each cabinet, giving ample headroom for near‑field or small‑room use.

How does the Bluetooth connection work alongside the two 3.5 mm aux inputs?

Bluetooth pairs with phones, tablets or computers while both aux inputs stay active, so you can switch sources via the remote without unplugging.
