Affordable Wi-Fi 7 mesh entry

The eero 7 two-pack brings Wi-Fi 7 to homes moving to multi-gig internet plans without flagship pricing. Each unit works as a standalone gateway or as an extender inside an existing eero network. Dual-band 2x2 antennas and BE5000-class wireless speeds up to 1.8 Gbps support 120-plus connected devices. Two auto-sensing 2.5 GbE ports handle wired throughput up to 2.3 Gbps.

Coverage and device headroom

A single router covers up to 2,000 square feet, so the pair blankets up to 4,000 square feet of indoor space. The system comfortably serves households with many phones, laptops, smart-home gear and streaming devices simultaneously. Very large properties or dense multi-storey layouts may need additional nodes beyond the two included. Buyers needing tri-band backhaul or dedicated 6 GHz radios will find those absent.

Wi-Fi 7 interface limits

Wi-Fi 7 enables 240 MHz channels and Multi-Link Operation for lower latency on compatible clients, yet the dual-band design stops at 5 GHz with no 6 GHz band. Wired uplinks cap at 2.5 Gbps, so internet plans faster than that cannot be fully utilised. The USB-C port is reserved for power, not data expansion. Homes requiring 6 GHz spectrum or higher wired throughput must look beyond this platform.
