What the speaker pair is

The Elac DB63BK Debut 3.0 is a two-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker pair finished in black. It uses custom aluminum dome tweeters and aramid-fiber woofers with internal bracing and a distinguishing phase plug. Magnetic grilles are included for a minimalist aesthetic.

What to check before ordering

Verify that your amplifier or receiver can drive a pair of passive bookshelf speakers with standard binding-post connections. Ensure you have suitable shelf or stand space and speaker cable of appropriate gauge for the run length. No wireless or active electronics are built in.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This pair suits listeners who want a compact stereo or home-theatre front stage with refined high-frequency detail and a clean visual profile. Buyers needing built-in amplification, wireless streaming, a dedicated subwoofer output or floor-standing bass extension should consider other designs.

Questions about this item

Does the DB63BK pair come with speaker cables or do I need to buy them separately?

The pair ships with the speakers and magnetic grilles only; speaker cables and any wall brackets or stands must be purchased separately.

How does the Debut 3.0 DB63BK differ from the earlier DB62 model?

The DB63BK upgrades the tweeter to a custom aluminium dome and uses aramid-fibre woofers with a distinguishing phase plug, plus added internal bracing for lower cabinet resonance.

What does the 2-way bass-reflex design mean for everyday listening in a typical room?

The 2-way layout with a front-firing port delivers clear treble from the aluminium tweeter and tight, extended bass from the aramid woofers, making the pair well suited for near-field or small-to-medium room setups.
