Elac Muro OD-M61-BK outdoor speaker

The Elac Muro OD-M61-BK is a 6.5-inch indoor/outdoor speaker built for permanent installation in exposed locations. Its IP66 rating certifies resistance to powerful water jets and dust ingress, making it suitable for patios, eaves or marine-adjacent walls. A supplied bracket enables vertical, horizontal, wall, ceiling or corner mounting without visible hardware. The clean profile lacks large external knobs, so the unit blends into architectural surroundings.

Sustained outdoor performance with IP66 sealing

The sealed enclosure maintains its acoustic alignment during extended exposure to rain, humidity and temperature swings because the IP66 seal prevents driver corrosion and internal moisture buildup. Removable port plugs let the installer switch to a ported configuration when seasonal conditions allow, increasing low-frequency output for larger open areas. This adaptability means the speaker delivers consistent tonal balance across months of continuous duty rather than degrading after a single storm.

Upgrade from basic garden rocks

The Muro OD-M61-BK replaces portable Bluetooth rocks or indoor bookshelf speakers pressed into service under eaves, where they eventually fail from condensation or UV damage. The jump is worth it when the installation demands a fixed, weather-proof mount with a clean aesthetic and the option to tune bass response via the port plugs. Buyers who need wireless streaming, battery operation or a multi-room mesh will not find those functions here.
