Portable 4K Document Camera

The ELMO MX-P3 1450 is a lightweight camera document scanner weighing 1.2lbs. It captures true 4K video at 30fps or full HD at 60fps with a 16x digital zoom that maintains image quality. The flexible arm twists, bends and folds into a compact form for transport. It functions as a plug-and-play webcam without driver installation.

Connection and Power Requirements

Verify that your display or computer accepts HDMI, RGB/VGA or USB 3.0 input before ordering. The unit also provides a USB 2.0 port and an SD card slot for local recording. No external software or drivers are needed for basic operation on supported operating systems. Ensure you have the appropriate cable for your chosen output method.

Bundled Accessories Expand Use Cases

An optional MX Writing Board adds a dry-marker surface for live annotation during presentations. The SD card slot lets you save images and videos directly on the device without a host computer. Multiple output terminals allow simultaneous connection to a projector and a recording device. The folding design reduces storage space when the camera is not in use.

Questions about this item

What cables and accessories come with the ELMO MX-P3 1450, and what must I buy separately?

The MX-P3 1450 includes the camera unit with its flexible arm, a built-in microphone, and an SD card slot for direct recording. Cables for USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI, and RGB/VGA outputs are not confirmed in the specifications, so check the package contents list or prepare the cables you need for your display or computer.

Should I choose the 4K 30fps mode or the Full HD 60fps mode for my presentations?

Use True 4K at 30fps when you need maximum detail for static documents, fine text, or 16x digital zoom clarity. Switch to Full HD at 60fps for smoother motion when demonstrating live writing, 3D objects, or fast page turns. Both modes are available on the same 1450 unit.

How does the 16x digital zoom at 4K resolution perform when the camera is connected to a laptop via USB 3.0?

Over USB 3.0 the MX-P3 1450 delivers True 4K video at 30fps with the full 16x digital zoom range and no quality loss. The plug-and-play connection requires no drivers, so the zoom works immediately in any standard video-conferencing or capture application on Windows or macOS.
