Questions about this item

How do I charge all four radios at once without the adapter included?

Connect each of the four supplied USB cables to any 5 V USB power source such as a wall charger, power bank or laptop port; each radio draws 3.7 V from its internal 1200 mAh lithium-ion cell.

When will the 1200 mAh lithium-ion cells need replacing after repeated charge cycles?

The sealed 3.7 V packs are not user-replaceable; when capacity drops below useful levels the entire handset must be retired.

At what distance does the 5-mile ideal range drop to the 0.5–1 mile urban figure during continuous use?

Range falls to the 0.5–1 mile urban figure as soon as buildings, foliage or terrain obstruct line-of-sight; the 5-mile figure applies only over open water or flat ground with no obstacles.
