Portable AM/FM radio with built-in speaker, 3.5 mm headphone jack and removable belt clip runs on two AA batteries
The Emerson ER-7000 receives AM stations from 520 to 1710 KHz and FM stations from 87.5 to 108 MHz. A built-in speaker lets you share broadcasts with others. A 3.5 mm headphone jack provides private listening. The removable belt clip secures the unit to a pocket or waistband for hands-free carrying.
The radio runs on two AA batteries, so it produces no fan noise and generates negligible heat during normal listening. Current draw is low enough for extended daily use on a fresh pair of cells. There are no moving parts or active cooling components to create audible disturbance.
Battery voltage will gradually decline during continuous playback, eventually reducing speaker volume and reception sensitivity. The analogue tuner and volume dial continue to operate without thermal throttling or firmware limits. Swapping in fresh AA cells restores full output immediately.

Insert two AA batteries matching the polarity markings inside the compartment; the step people get wrong is reversing one cell, which prevents the radio from turning on.
The two AA batteries are the only consumable; when reception fades or volume drops, replace both cells at the same time.
The tuner covers AM 520–1710 KHz and FM 87.5–108 MHz; signals outside those ranges or too weak to overcome background noise will not come in clearly.
