The X-FIRE radio strap is a water-resistant shoulder harness designed for firefighters, EMS, search-and-rescue, police, ham operators and outdoor enthusiasts who need hands-free carry of a full-size portable radio or GPS unit. A movable mic loop lets the user position a speaker microphone exactly where it is needed. The 62-inch shoulder strap uses heavy-duty webbing with swivel snap hooks that attach to D-rings on the included holster.

Practical limits of the shoulder-and-belt system

The holster accepts radios up to 8 inches high, 2.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep, covering most modern VHF, UHF, marine, APX and ham hand-helds. A bungee clip adjusts to hold different radio thicknesses securely. The anti-sway strap clips to a rear belt loop or turnout gear to stop the radio swinging forward when the wearer leans over. The same holster can also mount directly on belts up to three inches wide using hook-and-loop and snap fasteners without removing the belt.
