Pocket AM/FM Radio

The Emerson ER7002 is a compact analogue receiver designed for listeners who want simple access to local broadcast stations without internet dependence. Its portable form factor suits walkers, travellers and anyone needing a lightweight backup when mobile data is unavailable.

Included Earphones and Neck Strap

Bundled earphones plug into the headphone port for private listening that does not disturb others. The supplied neck strap allows hands-free carrying while working, exercising or moving around the home or garden.

Analogue Tuner Limits

The manual tuning wheel requires physical adjustment to find and hold a station, which can be less precise than digital synthesis. Reception quality depends entirely on local signal strength and antenna positioning, so distant or weak stations may not come in clearly. Power comes from two AAA batteries that are not included, so operating time varies with the cells chosen.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2 AAA batteries need replacing with daily listening?

Battery life depends on volume level and daily usage time; expect to swap cells every few weeks with typical use.

What limits how long the ER7002 can play continuously?

The 2 AAA cells set the runtime; when voltage drops the volume fades and the analog tuner may drift.

Does the ER7002 produce any audible hiss or heat during all-day operation?

The analog circuit is passive so it stays cool; only a faint background hiss may be heard at maximum volume.
