48U Steel Server Rack with Doors and Casters

The Vertiv VR3157 is a 48U steel server rack supplied with front and rear doors, side panels and casters. It includes cage nuts, screws, baying hardware and tools for immediate assembly. The frame provides 63.5mm additional usable depth compared with similar sized racks.

Suited for Data Centre and Server Room Deployments

This rack supports static loads up to 1360kg and dynamic loads up to 1020kg, making it appropriate for dense equipment installations. It is not suitable for wall-mount applications despite the supplier classification, nor for sites requiring a smaller footprint or lower weight than 387.40lb.

Static and Dynamic Load Capacity Decides Fit

The 1360kg static and 1020kg dynamic ratings determine whether the rack can support your planned hardware population. Verify the total installed equipment weight against these limits before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 387.40 lb steel rack add to a room when fully loaded and running all day?

The rack itself is a passive steel frame and generates no heat; only the installed equipment produces thermal output.

What mounting hardware must I already have to install this 48U cabinet on a wall?

The package includes 50 M6 cage nuts, M6 screws, baying hardware, a T30 Torx L-key, cage nut insertion tool and T30 extension driver; you must supply wall anchors rated for the cabinet weight.

Will my older 2.5-inch shallower servers fit in this VR3157 rack alongside new gear?

The frame provides about 63.5 mm more usable depth than comparable racks, so older shallow servers mount easily with standard cage nuts.
