Emergency Radio with Multiple Bands

The Emgykit R11 is a portable shortwave radio designed for camping and emergency preparedness. It receives NOAA, AM, FM, and SW bands with both manual and automatic scanning modes. The unit stores up to 210 channels across all bands and includes seven natural white noise options plus a 10-70 minute sleep timer for power conservation.

Charging Options and Media Playback

A 4000mAh rechargeable battery provides roughly eight hours of charging time via USB and supplies emergency backup power for other devices. The radio accepts three charging methods: solar panel, hand crank, and USB input. Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless audio streaming while a 5W magnetic speaker, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB/TF card slots supporting MP3, WAV, FLAC, and APE formats handle local playback.

Compact Setup with Alert Features

Measuring 3.15 by 2.0 by 5.02 inches and weighing 0.531 kilograms, the radio fits easily in a pack and requires no installation beyond initial charging. A 120LM flashlight, integrated compass, and SOS alarm provide immediate emergency signalling. Users unfamiliar with shortwave tuning may find manual frequency selection slower than the automatic scan function.

Questions about this item

How long does the 4000mAh battery take to reach full charge from a wall outlet?

The manufacturer states it takes about 8 hours to fully charge the internal battery using the standard USB charging method.

Which function will drain the 4000mAh battery fastest during continuous operation?

Running the 5W magnetic speaker at high volume alongside the 120LM flashlight will deplete the 14800mWh capacity more quickly than radio reception alone.

How much heat or noise does the R11 produce when left running all day?

The unit uses a passive 5W speaker and LED flashlight with no cooling fan, so it generates minimal heat and only audible sound from the speaker or SOS alarm.
