Designed for iPad mini 4 7.9

This case fits only the iPad mini 4 released in 2015, matching model numbers A1538 and A1550. It is not compatible with the mini 5 from 2019 or the earlier mini 1, 2 and 3 models. Buyers should verify the model number on the back of their tablet before ordering.

Slim PU+PC build with smart cover

The synthetic exterior and smooth interior combine to give comprehensive protection while keeping the profile slim and light. A magnetic smart cover triggers automatic sleep and wake when opened or closed, helping conserve battery during everyday use.

Two-angle tri-fold stand

The front cover folds into a stable triangle that holds the iPad at two distinct angles for viewing or typing. Precise cutouts keep every port, speaker and camera accessible without removing the case. Owners of newer mini models or older generations will need a different case.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the EN-Labs 11-001-224GY case to my iPad Mini 4, and what is the common mistake?

Snap the matte PC back shell onto the tablet first, then align the magnetic smart cover so its edge magnets seat against the iPad's bezel; the step people miss is confirming their model number is A1538 or A1550 on the back before buying, because the case will not fit Mini 5 or earlier Minis.

What part of this case will wear out first and need replacing?

The PU leather front cover and its magnetic sleep/wake strip see daily folding and contact, so the hinge creases and magnet strength will degrade before the rigid PC back shell.

At what angle does the stand become unstable during long typing sessions?

The tri-fold cover only locks into two preset angles; the steeper typing angle can tip backward if you press hard on the top of the 7.9" screen.
