What it is

The Apple Smart Cover in Charcoal Gray is a polyurethane folio designed for the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and the 3rd generation iPad Air. It attaches magnetically and wakes or puts the tablet to sleep when opened or closed. The cover folds into a stand for reading or typing at a comfortable angle.

Who it suits

Buyers who want a thin, magnetically attached cover that protects the screen and doubles as a stand will find this a good match. Users who need a back shell, a keyboard, or storage for an Apple Pencil should look at a different accessory that provides those features.

Daily use

The polyurethane surface resists fingerprints and wipes clean during regular handling. The magnetic hinge holds its position when folded into either viewing angle, and the cover stays securely shut when carried in a bag. The material shows no sagging after repeated opening and closing cycles.
