Smart Cover for iPad 10.2 and 10.5

The Apple Smart Cover in Pink Sand protects the display of iPad 10.2-inch (7th, 8th and 9th generation), iPad Air (3rd generation) and iPad Pro 10.5-inch (1st generation). It attaches magnetically and folds into a stand for typing or viewing. The cover wakes the iPad when opened and puts it to sleep when closed.

Behaviour under sustained use

The polyurethane surface resists daily handling and keeps the screen free from scratches during long work or study sessions. Its magnetic hinge holds the stand position firmly whether the iPad is used flat on a desk or propped at an angle. No batteries or electronics are inside, so performance does not degrade over time.

Thermals, noise and power

The cover adds no heat, noise or power draw because it is a passive accessory. It does not connect to the iPad’s charging port and contains no active components. The iPad’s own thermal management and battery life are unaffected by the cover’s presence.
