What it is

This pack contains four white HDMI 90-degree adapters that angle cables up, down, left or right. They connect standard HDMI devices such as laptops, consoles, Blu-ray players or streaming sticks to TVs and monitors while reducing strain on ports.

Thermals noise power

Passive adapters draw no power, produce no heat and make no sound. The gold-plated contacts maintain a stable 48Gbps signal path without active circuitry or external power requirements.

The deciding spec

Bandwidth is rated at 48Gbps, enabling 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz with Dynamic HDR, eARC and HDCP 2.2 or 2.3. Buyers whose source or display tops out at lower bandwidth will not benefit from the headroom.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 90° adapters so the cable points the right way?

Each pack contains four adapters — up, down, left and right. Choose the one whose angle routes the cable away from the wall or neighbouring ports, then push the male end firmly into the device until it seats fully.

Will the gold-plated contacts need cleaning or the adapters replacing over time?

The adapters are passive with no moving parts or active electronics, so they do not wear out under normal use. If dust builds up, a quick blast of compressed air restores the connection.

At what point does sustained 8K 60 Hz output hit a bandwidth ceiling?

The link is rated for 48 Gbps, which is the maximum defined for 8K at 60 Hz with HDR. Pushing higher refresh rates or deeper colour at that resolution would exceed the available bandwidth.
