M.2 SATA to 2.5" Adapter

This adapter converts a SATA-based M.2 NGFF SSD into a standard 2.5-inch SATA drive. It accepts B-key and B+M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. The product is built for users who want to add M.2 SATA storage to a system equipped with 2.5-inch drive bays.

Fits 2.5-inch drive bays

The card plugs into a standard 2.5-inch SATA connector and requires no additional power cable. It lets you reuse an existing M.2 SATA SSD in a laptop or desktop that lacks an M.2 slot. It does not support PCIe-based M-key or M+B-key NVME SSDs such as the Samsung 950PRO, 960EVO or 961.

Sustained SATA III throughput

The adapter passes through SATA revision I, II and III signalling at 1.5, 3.0 and 6.0 Gbps respectively. Performance under sustained load matches the limits of the installed SATA SSD and the host controller. No active cooling or extra drivers are needed for continuous operation.
