The EN-Labs SATA10BK90 is a 10 inch SATA III data cable with a 90 degree connector on one end and a straight 180 degree connector on the other. It links SATA hard drives or SSDs to motherboards and host controllers at up to 6.0 Gbps. The latch on the straight end locks the connection in place.

Installing it and common issues

The 90 degree end fits tight drive bays where a straight plug would hit the case wall, while the latched straight end seats firmly on the board. Route the 26 AWG shielded cable so it does not kink sharply at the bend. A loose latch or a port limited to an older SATA revision will drop the link speed below the cable’s 6.0 Gbps rating.

Behaviour under sustained load
