Digital audio connection

The Enfain AV122 is a Toslink optical cable designed to carry multichannel digital sound between compatible devices. Its 4.0 mm PVC jacket protects the fibre core while the gold-plated connectors resist corrosion for reliable signal transfer. The construction supports 5.1 surround formats from source to amplifier or sound card.

Suitable uses and limits

This cable suits anyone linking a set-top box, TV, CD player or sound card that has a Toslink port. It will not work with equipment that only offers coaxial digital or analogue RCA outputs. Buyers needing longer runs or in-wall ratings should verify those specifications separately.

Questions about this item

Does the 4.0 mm cable run warm or draw noticeable power during all-day use?

The Enfain AV122 is a passive optical cable with no active electronics, so it generates no heat and consumes no power regardless of how long it runs.

My amplifier only has a square Toslink port — will the AV122 plug straight in?

Yes, the AV122 uses standard square Toslink connectors on both ends, so it fits any SPDIF optical port on a TV, sound card, set-top box or CD player.
