Digital fibre audio cable for 5.1 surround sound

The Enfain AV122 carries SPDIF optical signals between a set-top box, TV, amplifier, sound card or CD player and a surround-sound system. Its 4.0 mm PVC jacket protects the fibre core while staying flexible enough for routing behind home-theatre equipment. Gold-plated plugs resist corrosion and maintain a clean digital path for multi-channel audio.

Practical limits of optical SPDIF

Optical SPDIF tops out at 5.1 channels and cannot convey lossless formats such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio. Cable runs beyond a few metres may introduce jitter if the transmitter power is low. The interface carries no video or control data, so a separate connection is needed for picture and device commands.
