Indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point

The EnGenius Fit EWS276FIT is a dual-band indoor wireless access point built for Wi-Fi 6 networks. It supports aggregate throughput up to 3.46 Gbit/s using 4x4 spatial streams. The unit is designed for commercial environments that use the EnGenius Fit cloud management platform. It fits installations that need centrally managed Wi-Fi without on-premise controllers.

Cloud-managed setup and common issues

Initial adoption is handled through the EnGenius Fit cloud portal, so the access point must reach the internet before it can be configured. A frequent problem occurs when the upstream switch port does not pass the management VLAN or blocks outbound HTTPS, leaving the device unmanaged. Another common issue is mounting the unit where ceiling material attenuates the 5 GHz signal more than expected.

Pre-order checks for your network

Verify that your PoE switch delivers the standard required by the EWS276FIT and that the port is configured for the correct VLAN. Confirm the site has an internet path for cloud adoption and that firewall rules allow the management traffic. Ensure the mounting location provides a clear line of sight for the 4x4 antenna array and that the cabling run stays within the supported Ethernet distance.
