Wall Mount Server Rack

The Ergotron 45-505-224 is a wall-mounted rack enclosure designed for server and network components. It suits IT professionals and installers who need to secure equipment directly to a vertical surface in space-constrained environments.

Rack Enclosure Type

This unit is classified specifically as a rack enclosure, meaning it provides a structured frame for mounting standard server hardware. Buyers requiring an open frame, a floor-standing cabinet, or a simple shelf will not find that form factor here.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Built for permanent installation, the matte black steel construction supports continuous equipment weight without the deflection seen in temporary mounts. It is not intended for frequent repositioning or mobile applications where dynamic forces apply.

Questions about this item

What does the 45-505-224 part number tell me about the arm once it is mounted on the wall?

The 45-505-224 identifies this matte-black MXV wall monitor arm so you can confirm the exact model when ordering spare parts or checking compatibility with your display.

Which mounting standard does the 45505224 arm use, and what does that limit in practice?

The 45505224 arm mounts to a standard VESA wall plate, limiting installation to surfaces that accept that bolt pattern and can support the arm's range of motion.

The MXV wall arm requires enough wall depth for its articulated joints to extend and rotate without striking adjacent cabinets or cable runs.
