Active DVI-D to VGA converter supports 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz over a 9.84 in cable
This active converter connects a DVI-D 24+1 male source to a VGA female display. It draws power from the DVI port so no external supply is needed. The integrated chipset improves compatibility with a wide range of VGA monitors and projectors. Setup is plug-and-play without driver installation.
The adapter handles digital-to-analog conversion with a maximum bandwidth of 1.65Gbps. It supports HDTV resolutions including 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i and 1080p at 60Hz. PC graphics modes up to 1920x1200 at 60Hz are also supported. Higher refresh rates or resolutions beyond these listed modes are not supported.
Common office resolutions such as 1024x768, 1280x1024 and 1680x1050 run comfortably at 60Hz. The maximum tested PC resolution is 1920x1200 at 60Hz and the maximum HDTV resolution is 1080p at 60Hz. The 9.84 inch cable keeps the signal path short for stable operation. Users needing 4K output or higher refresh rates cannot use this converter.
