What this adapter does

The ESTONE M.2 SATA to USB 3.0 Adapter Enclosure connects a SATA-bus NGFF M.2 SSD to a USB 3.0 host port. It accepts Key B and Key B+M drives in the 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230 form factors. UASP support is included for improved throughput.

Check your drive before ordering

This enclosure only fits SATA-bus M.2 SSDs with Key B or Key B+M. It cannot accept PCIe NVMe or PCIe AHCI M.2 SSDs that use Key M. Verify your drive’s keying and bus type to avoid a mismatch.

Thermals, noise and power

The aluminium alloy enclosure acts as a passive heatsink to dissipate heat from the SSD during operation. No fan is present, so the adapter runs silently. Power is drawn from the USB 3.0 connection; no external supply is required.
