The splitter conforms to HDMI 1.4b with a maximum transmission bandwidth of 3.2 Gbps and a 320 MHz pixel clock. That limits 3840 x 2160 output to 30 Hz, while lower resolutions such as 1080p can run at higher refresh rates. It does not support 4K at 60 Hz or the extended colour spaces and HDR metadata found in later HDMI versions.
