Audio extraction for 4K@60Hz sources

The ESTONE OZV8 takes a single HDMI 2.0 input and splits the signal into a mirrored HDMI output plus separate optical SPDIF and 3.5 mm analogue audio feeds. It handles video up to 4K at 60 Hz with 18 Gbps bandwidth and deep-colour formats of 24, 30 or 36 bit. The unit is aimed at installers who need to route sound to a soundbar, amplifier or headphones while keeping the picture path intact.

Integration needs and freedoms

A 5 V/1 A power adapter is included and must be connected for operation. Three EDID audio switches let you choose pass-through, two-channel or 5.1-channel output without re-cabling. The extractor does not work with Bluetooth headsets and should not be fed from a Yamaha device directly into its HDMI input. Both SPDIF and 3.5 mm outputs can drive different receivers simultaneously, freeing the display from audio duties.

Sustained-load behaviour

The device draws a maximum working current of 350 mA and supports a 340 MHz pixel clock continuously across all listed resolutions from 480i through 4K@60Hz. No active cooling is present, so thermal performance relies on the aluminium enclosure during extended sessions. Signal integrity is maintained at the full 18 Gbps rate without introduced latency or frame drops during prolonged playback.
