Questions about this item

What does the 40 Gbps rating mean when I connect this cable to my laptop and monitor?

The cable can carry up to 40 Gbps of data, enough for a single 8K display at 60 Hz or dual 4K displays at 60 Hz, provided both host and display support USB4 Gen 3x2.

Which USB standard does the cable implement and what practical limit does it set?

It implements USB4 Gen 3x2, capping data at 40 Gbps and video at 8K 60 Hz single or dual 4K 60 Hz; with USB4 Gen 2 devices the ceiling drops to 20 Gbps.

What physical space does the 90-degree connector need to fit?

The right-angle USB-C plug protrudes about 90 degrees from the port, so allow roughly 21 mm clearance beside the socket for the bend radius and braided jacket.
