Sustained load behaviour

The cable supports Extended Power Range and remains backward compatible with 180W, 140W, 100W and 60W profiles, so it negotiates the highest wattage the host and charger allow without overheating. Data throughput stays at the negotiated USB4 Gen 3x2 rate during long transfers, and the video link holds 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz without dropped frames, provided both ends support the same specification.

Installation notes

Plug the right-angle connector into the device and the straight end into the charger, dock or host; the reversible USB-C ends insert either way up. No driver is required on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux or Android.
